Regularly attending church is one of the important aspects in “training up a child in the way he should go” (Proverbs 22:6). FBC Henderson is honored to be a partner with parents in equipping children to pursue a personal relationship with Jesus, grow in His love, and share Christ with those around them. Your child’s mind, heart, and spirit will be nourished utilizing intentional lessons, play, and exciting activities which point them to the truth in God’s Word. Our vision for the Children’s Ministry is to help each child find that special relationship with God and for each of them to know that they can do great things for God regardless of their age. It is our goal and purpose to help children foster stronger relationships with each other and, most importantly, to help them find and grow their relationship with our Heavenly Father. Every day, our kids are bombarded with questions: Did God really create everything? Why do bad things happen? Was Noah’s ark real? Why do I need to be saved? Can I trust the Bible?
At this VBS, your kids will explore the biblical answers to these questions as they set off on an epic adventure from Genesis to Revelation. Amid sloths, butterflies, river dolphins, and dart frogs, your children will sail along on a fun jungle cruise, stopping at seven ports of call. These ports are the 7 C’s of History: Creation, Corruption, Catastrophe, Confusion, Christ, Cross, and Consummation. Kids will discover how these events shape our world, and they will learn to reconnect the Bible to their everyday life.
Prepare to swing into fun as we head out on The Great Jungle Journey!

Big kids, 1st-6th grade can join the KIDZ crew upstairs in the Children’s Building as they teach your kids about God in fun and exciting ways that are geared just for them, with crafts, games, music, and Bible study that every kid will enjoy.
While parents are learning and growing closer to God in our main worship service, your kids can be doing to same just in an environment that is designed just for them.
During service, Little Kidz Church is provided for the 3 year old’s-Kindergarten aged children. Utilizing the Bible-based curriculum from Life.Church, the children enjoy fun, interactive songs, play, and explore God’s word. FBC Little Kidz church will immerse your children in a world of creative and relevant biblical teaching. Children also learn how to have a sense of community and caring for their fellow church members and will be excited to attend each week.

At FBC Kidz Sunday school, our goal is for children to grow in knowledge and faith.

Sunday school is the vital foundation of Christian discipleship. Sunday school helps children learn about God’s Word and teaches them how to apply it to their daily lives. For children, the Bible takes on real meaning when they can connect its truths to their own lives, and that is our goal for Sunday school!
Each week, children are met by dedicated, loving, and committed teachers who are teaching the truths of God through age-appropriate lessons and activities using curriculum which is Bible based.
Even at this young age, we are committed to providing curriculum, song, and play which will introduce your child to the love of Christ. Whether your child is a baby, toddler, two-year-old, three-year-old, in pre-k, or kindergartner, FBC Kidz wants him or her to feel loved at church. Our teachers and volunteers are all background checked and we check in and check out your child from our nursery for their safety and your peace of mind. We want you as the parent or guardian to feel comfortable leaving your most precious gift in our care.
On Wednesday nights during the school year, join us for our Kidz Wednesday Night Live program for all children PreK4 through 6th grade. For all the children’s safety every child, regardless of age must be accompanied by an adult (18 or older) to enter or leave the church buildings.
Our littlest attendees (PreK4-Kindergarten) are taught in the nursery area utilizing Lifeway Bible Studies for Life curriculum as well as CiA Missions curriculum from WMU. All the children have a Bible study lesson, missions lesson, have game time, and sing songs each night.
Our 1st – 4th graders study missions using CIA curriculum from WMU and participate in a Bible study, learn about the Bible with Bible Skills, and have a time for games and crafts.
At FBC Henderson, we understand that our 5th and 6th grade students are in a stage of their lives where they no longer feel they are children, but are not quite ready for youth group content. Therefore, we have created a program specifically geared towards their needs. On Wednesday nights during the school year from 6:00-7:30 p.m., students enjoy Bible study, game time, learn about the Bible with Bible Skills and much more, with the occasional fun night out thrown in as well. Your child will be excited about coming to Studio 56 each week!
