Women's Ministry
Our Women’s Ministry includes women of all ages and stages. We know that women need fellowship and encouragement. Our ministry provides an encouraging community to equip and challenge you to live out your God-given potential on a daily basis. Together we connect with other women through Bible studies, worship and prayer, retreats, luncheons, mission projects, and more.
The women of First Baptist Church have many opportunities to participate in a variety of activities including craft ministry, luncheons, Bible studies, conferences, and prayer groups. The Women's Missionary Group (WMU) has a regular schedule of events as listed below.
Womens opportunities
- Potter's Hands: 1st Tuesday of month at 5:30pm in the FLC Dining Hall (Contact Nancy Gibson or Jo Velvin for info)
- Praying Women: 3rd Tuesday of month at 10 a.m. in Prayer House (Contact Jackie Legg for info)
- Women in the Word: 3rd Thursday of month at 10 a.m. in various homes (Contact Suzanne Kinard for info)
- Shades of Read (formerly Round Table): 4th Tuesday of Sept, Nov, Jan, Mar, May at 10am in Multi Purpose Room A-101(Contact Bettye Scarborough for info)
- First Ladies Mama Bear Apologetics book study taught by Cathy Johnson (Contact church office to reserve your spot)
- Heartfelt Ministries mentoring group (Contact Vicki Cox or the church office for info)
